Kyma Shipping has been appointed to provide technical management for six additional offshore assets, adding supply and construction vessels to the fleet under our management.
What the appointment covers
Under the new agreements, our technical department takes responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of each vessel: planned maintenance, class and flag compliance, dry-dock planning, spare parts and stores, and budget control. Each vessel is assigned a dedicated superintendent who works directly with the crew on board and reports to the owner.
Where the owner requires it, crew management is provided alongside technical management, giving a single point of contact for the people and the systems on board.
A structured take-over
Bringing a vessel into management is a project in itself. Before take-over our team reviews the vessel’s documentation and maintenance history, inspects her on site and agrees a transition plan with the previous manager, so that operations continue without interruption.
- Review of certificates, class status and outstanding conditions
- On-board inspection and condition assessment
- Transfer of maintenance records and spare parts inventory
- Familiarisation of the crew with our safety management system
Looking ahead
Offshore remains one of the most demanding sectors we serve. The additional vessels strengthen our offshore team and reflect the trust owners place in an engineering-led, transparent approach to ship management.
